Art of Music Experience: A Vinyl Revival
Art of Music Experience: A Vinyl Revival
Before you heard the music, you saw the cover.
The Art of Music Experience is an immersive exhibit that celebrates the designers and stories behind iconic album cover art. From legendary photographers, illustrators and visionary designers to the musicians who inspired them, this one-of-a-kind experience explores how album imagery captures the sound, spirit and symbolism of the music itself.
Album cover art has long been acknowledged as an important part of the culture of music, but unlike the music, the art has rarely enjoyed its own time in the spotlight. The Art of Music Experience spotlights the stories and creators behind album cover art and the influence of their vision and ability to communicate the music's energy, the artist's brand, likeness, image and symbolism.
The traveling exhibit features large-scale, hand-painted album covers, displays and neon from The Art of Music Collection, themed exhibits and fan activations.
